Hippie Chicks River Shack

Availability: Open Mondays and Wednesdays – Saturdays, 11:00 a.m. – 6:45 p.m., Sundays 11:00 a.m. – 1:45 p.m., closed Tuesdays. 

***Description from their Facebook page: “unique grill on River Road in Concan, Texas housing the friendliest, happy go lucky staff, close to the Majestic Frio River. Come and enjoy the park like setting, fabulous food while listening to incredible music. Availability: Open Sundays – Thursdays 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. 

***Neal’s Dining Room opened in 1926 and they are family owned and operated, serving home cooked, classic southern comfort food with beautiful views overlooking the Frio. Visit this website to view their menu online. 

House Pasture Cattle Company Restaurant and Texas Music Venue

Address/Number: 3064 CR 348 (River Road); 830-232-6580

Availability: Restaurant/bar open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, closed Sunday –Wednesday. 

***House Pasture serves delicious sandwiches, steaks and burgers and is also spectacular concert venue! Check out their website for a full menu and concert line-up.

The Frio Float

Availability: Open daily, 11:00 am. – 9:00 p.m. 

***Description from their Facebook page: “The Frio Float is Concan TX’s premier sweet shop! Floats, milkshakes, sundaes, Mangonadas, soft serve, Blue Bell, cotton candy and tons of candy!! Better stop in!!!” 

This is also right across the street from the Frio Premier Rental Homes office, so if you're waiting to check in, this is the perfect place to go grab a treat!

Frio Valley Ranch Cantina

Address/Number: Located at the beautiful Frio Valley Ranch golf course, 520 Mountain Valley Dr., 830-834-9315;

Availability: Open Sundays and Mondays 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Tuesdays – Saturdays 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. 

***Upscale Tex Mex/American cuisine, all new menu, check out the link to view the full menu and note that this is a public course so you don’t have to be a member to book a round of golf!

Availability: Open daily, 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. 

***Description from their Facebook page: “We have everything! Fuel, T-shirts, Deli, Hamburgers, Pizza, Frio River Gear, Tubes, Fresh Jerky, Fresh Meat Deli, Sodas, All Groceries and much, much more!”
