The Frio River is a beautiful river with crystal clear water located in central and southern Texas.  The river is located in the Texas Hill Country, primarily running through Uvalde, Real, and Zavala counties. The Frio River starts from the juncture of the East, West, and Dry Frio rivers in Real County, Texas. Its headwaters are located in the Edwards Plateau, near the town of Leakey. From there, the river flows southeast through the Texas Hill Country, passing through towns like Concan and Garner State Park before eventually joining the Nueces River. One of the most well-known areas along the Frio River is the town of Concan Texas, which attracts visitors from all over to stay in riverfront homes, vacation rentals, and enjoy the endless recreational activities to do in the area.
